For starters let's talk about where players should spend their adena and what is even more important is who should spend where and when. In lineage 2 Essence we have 4 tier of players. First tear: Top whales who already have top items in game and farm exorbitant amount of adena every day/week/month/year Second tear: Mid donors who are not at the top but still get one shot by top whales because the difference in items +9 or +10 in the final stages is that big. Third tear: People who are free to play and donate very rarely only on good events. Fourth tear: People who are fully free to play and never invest money (buying L coins from store) There is another facet of the game that people don't comprehend and that is buying item +7 doesn't mean you are already the best you can be, there is augmentation (getting a top one), soul crystal and blessing. This is where second tear players are, playing with +7 items but with mid augmentation. The first tear players already have invested correctly their money into getting that +300 skill critical on their weapon or 5 % skill power and same goes for the circlet of hero and mask. Meanwhile third and fourth tear players cant afford to reach these hights as its not profitable for them since they are fighting hard to even achieve items+7 not to speak of blessing them even. First Tear players So, lets talk about what should a first tear player be saving for? Let's imagine a person who has +8 blessed weapon with top augment and already has +7 item sets with top augments and top crystals. What's next? They already have top skills enchanted and all other items are top tear so what's next? You probably are thinking well you can always try to make a weapon +9 or +10 but that's incredibly hard to do. For first class players the best investment in this game is to collect adena and sell it at good events when adena price is high so that they can make L coins for resorections and specifically what they should be going for is awaiting good events that game offers or new items in the game that will be coming in future updates in order to stay TOP PLAYERS. Of Course you can try +9+10 weapons but just breaking +8 is very heavy loss. If there are good events for +8 weapons then I would suggest spending it there if they want to make +9 boss or even frost for pvp better. Other than that, my recommendation is trying to get an immortal weapon, this is very very hard to achieve and so far nobody has, the reason is that high players don't commit to long term investments in the game, people prefer to invest money and get instant power. Immortal weapons can be achieved within a clans help fro 5-6 months, its not impossible. Whales can craft frost weapons and break them for 1% chance to achieve hastest item for the immortal weapon. Other than that top clans can help the 1 person trying to achieve this and combine their resources in order to make it happen. So far nobody has crafted an immortal weapon. Another option for these players is trying for events for Wind Helmet or immortal weapons if there will be any in the future, its the only events worth for these types of donors. Second Tear players Here players do have things to improve but they dont see it that way. Lets clarify players here make 1 b adena for just a few days with auto hunting. These players first thing in mind should be improving the rune of growth to as maximum as you can. This item is very underestimated and nobody tried to lv. it up because the price of the growth rune fragments in game cost 1 million adena per 1 piece (most people leave it at lv. 13-14-15). But second tear players should push this item to the highest value possible, it is worth it, every single item in the game adds up. Second focus for these players is to try to get the best augmentations possible on their best items, I know this is repetitive but trying +8 talismans or +9 +10 to get a lot of power through some events can be very expensive, when augmentations can provide as well very good boost but at lower price considering the augmentation stones prices. On certain events it is better to try to make authority +9 or +10 and same with speed talisman, these two will be the most valuable in your arsenal. Secondary for these players is to achieve +4 Baium talisman minimum. These players can farm these items and easily make +5 within a few months, its just a game of chance after all. Most common mistake is that people just leave it +3 or +4 equipped and just forget about it. For mid donors it is good to focus on improving skills to a higher level whenever there is a decent doll event where with a lv 10 - 13 doll you can get 3 star books on daily bases. It can also be made from donating in clan with Hardin Notes but chances to make 3 star or 4 star books is low using these but mid donors this is totally viable. Even though I recommend just trying from events instead. Another way for boost here is by going to Great Battle (invesion) as most donors are forgetting that level in L2 Essence is very important and increasing your level is one of the best ways to boost your character no matter what class you play or items you may have. Let's talk about Dolls. Right now dolls are cheap if you only get it with the weekly chests but the doll you get is sealed. This is a double edged sword, you are getting a sealed doll 2 but if you ever change class or want to change character this item will never be traded. However dolls that are tradable even after next doll updates will be very valuable.The fact that you can move dolls from one account to another is an incredible advantage. Right now prices of unsealed dolls are going down and this is a perfect moment to be buying dolls (current date February - 2024). Of course in future updates to use these dolls you need to register it so at the end it becomes sealed too. The point that tradable dolls are more expensive than sealed is also because these will be the only dolls on World Trade so if someone is in a rush to create a doll 3-4-5 they will have the option to buy your doll or just wait months and months. Sometimes people don't want to wait. This is Lineage 2 everything eventually gets sold. For mid donors, dyes will be very important. If a mid donor already has lv 11 and hidden power upgraded to lv 11, my suggestion is to buy with coins now the powders to level them up. Hidden power is something people miss a lot of the time and leave for last but this is incredibly important for damage. You can always buy higher lv dyes from other players but if you think you can create your own, its also an option to level up the dyes from lv 11 to 20.You need to either farm the powders or buy them from World trade. They usually cost about 150 coins each. But if you have friends I'm sure you can get a top deal. As mid donator your goal is to have +7 blessed armors with good/mid augments and +7 blessed boss weapon (or +8 is meta for you) with a good augment with 5% skill power and anything else or top augment here 4-5% skill power + Either good soulshot damage for a mage class or skill critical damage 200-300 range this is the optimal for mid donors. Jewels can be very expensive to make lv. 7 or more (with incredible stone by very little % chance)so if you have already got lv 6 jews or 7 my recommendation is to keep it lv 7, going higher is really expensive and not worth it for this type of mid donation. It's a lot better to wait for appropriate events where you can just buy the jews you need already at lv 6 -7 and compound from there if you want to go up. In other words I don't recommend buying the daily pack for jews. It's more profitable on events to get these already done and compounded. Third Tear players Players here should know this, they should be focused for long term goals. First off, these donors/F2P players should focus 1 step at a time. First start with getting a weapon +7 and gloves and boots +7 and down part of armor +7, upper part not that important for damage and farming whatever class you are playing. Also for this level of donation, you need some basic items Frintezza Necklace +2 / Baium ring +2 / Queen Ant Ring +2 or Beleth ring +2 (choose one) / Zaken Earring +2 and aztacan +1 or +2 if you can afford (extreme hard item to get and to make +2 - you can use orfen +2 earring) Please don't overpay for Orfen Earring +2 if you are not in a hurry, the item should cost between 6-8 box (1 box = 8000 L coins) Frintezza Necklace +2 should be good for 10-13 box is a good price Baium Ring +2 same thing right now about 9-11 box Zaken Earring +2 and Queen Ant +2 are both about 7-8 box Aztacan earring +0 goes for 10 - 12 box Beleth Ring +2 can be about 8-10 box - people overly estimate this item because its a defensive item that gives damage in soulshots but Queen Ant is a decent replacement for PVE. All these prices can change over time with supply and demand but I just wanted to let you know what normally goes around so that you don't get scammed. After this these players ought to focus on achieving dyes lv 11 when there are good events and slowly progress the hidden power. From here, try focusing in these items in this order: Talismans - Speed / Authority / Venir / Baium Jews - Ruby / Beryl / Spinel / Onyx / Zircon Agathions - Nebula / Dragon Egg / Ignis / Petram / Joy All these talismans, jews and agathions can be obtained in good events, I recommend you to only try when it's 100% to get an item limited in account, it's better to get that than gamble and overpay. Lates the prices of Brooch / Talisman Bracelet / Agathion Bracelet - for lv. 7 has gone down so now or even a little in the future you can get each of these 2-3 box (16 000 - 24 000 coins) The one thing that mid donors should probably overpay is trying on a good event to get a circlet of hero +6 or more, and same with mask, belt and cloak. For all these items there is a decent event where with little donation you can still get a decent amount of items. For this type of donation I don't recommend upgrading skills with crafting books, only to do it when you get free from the game or on special events for crafting, but this is extremely hard to do, not for this level of donation. I highly recommend slow progression and only donate when there is a good event to get something for 100 %, gambling is cool if its limited but sometimes even opening a lot of 100 L boxes doesn't guarantee a good reward. Patience is your best ally! Fourth Tear players If you are here, throw all dilutions from ever doing pvp, just enjoy the game trading items with people, selling and buying stuff in order to make profit. For F2P players this is the best strategy to improve little by little. Here are some recommendations for making coins in game. First observe the items in game, how they are being sold in World Trade and what people are shouting for other players to buy and sell. Always items on World Trade will be more expensive, and people selling them for adena or box will be cheaper. Here playing for the long term is your goal and little improvements from free calendar events will be the grace you will be playing for. Not to worry there are almost always good ways to get items via free events, we have an amazing team on EU and they provide us with good events all the time. You can even check the Facebook channel of Lineage 2 Essence. In this type of play only 1 focus is advised by me: Trying to increase only damage items, that would be getting boss weapon even +5 is fine, aden soul weapon x2 lv 18 and hardin 11 from which you can make it 13 easily. This is the best F2P combination and is very cheap right now. In total you could see to spend about 3 boxes for 2x aden soul weapon lv 18 and 4 box for hardin 11. Boss weapons really depend on what you are playing and prices are different. Items to focus after this: Baium talisman +3 Venir talismán lv 28 These two are very important for damage and skill cooldown. Baium talisman +3 right now is about 7-8 boxes and to get venir talisman lv. 28 is tricky, I recommend buying the venir fragments when there are events for them, they are a lot cheaper at that time. The good thing for this is that once you make it lv 28 you wont need to look at this item anymore. Depending on what character you play, your damage is mostly dependent on class and skills, for F2P best characters to play are Soulhound and Shilien Elder. First one is best DPS and second one is best sustain without needing orfen earring +2 for mana issues. Try to get your books for free from calendar events if possible, otherwise it's very expensive to farm them. On this level any small improvement even in collection counts. I mostly recommend trying to get items from random craft and enchanting those items and putting them in your collection, buying them from World Trade is not for you, you are not making much adena here. Long Term commitment for LINEAGE 2 F2P players: A long term goal for F2P players is to try to achieve through missions in the game the 4th dye slot book. It costs about 300 000 AA (Ancient Adena), this is realistic if you plan to play for a long term here. Daily you can get: Dailies Daily hunting - 50 AA Transcendant - 50 AA Training -50 AA Orc Fortress - 50 AA Baloc - 50 AA Catacombs - 50 AA Hot springs daily mission -100 AA Daily upgrade of hidden power - 10 AA Weeklies Every week you get from Giran quest on Sundays - 200 AA Every week you can make Forgoten Guarden - speed and eva quests 1k you can get up to 200 AA and if you do the Eva one too you can get 300 AA in total. Every week you can do Dream Land - 100 AA Every week you can do Valakas temple with clan - 20 AA Every week you can do Spirits with clan - 20 AA Every week you can do Frintezza raid with clan -20 AA So in summary daily - 50+50+50+50+50+50+100+10 = 410 AA And weekly you can get - 200+200+100+100+20+20+20 =660 AA (Considering you dont make 3 quests 1k in forgotten, that is very hard) So every week you could be getting = 410 *7 = 2870 AA + 660 AA = 3530 AA So every month you get 3530 * 4 weeks a month = 14120 AA So for 1 year you get = 14120 * 12 = 169440 AA So if you want to play this game 2 years of hard core farming can achieve more than 300 000 L coins, this is a realistic goal for f2p players who love lineage 2. I highly recommend it. There are even more ways to get extra AA for example from Набор: Билет на Недельный Сундук Запечатано - it costs 2 000 L coins and you can buy 4 every week. The amount of L coins you get is random and you can even hit the jackpot from it. Step by Step you can achieve a decent level in the game to farm adena on daily bases.
